How to make the flan Caramel (sugary top)

The first step is to make sure to cook your caramel and cover the bottom of your baking dish. This caramel is that golden sugar that glaze on top of your flan. All you need is one ingredient and a nonstick pan.

Ingredient

- 1 cup of Granulated white sugar

With your pan place at room temperature, pour in your granulated sugar. Place our pan on stove top, on low heat. This will ensure you do not burn your sugar. As you start to notice the sugar begins to turn clean and into a liquid, use a nonstick spoon to help you blend the liquid sugar with the sold granulated sugar. Make sure to keep your eye on the sugar at this point since it will quickly turn into a light golden brown. Once the entire sugar has become golden turn off your heat and quickly add that caramelized sugar into your baking dish. You will only have a few seconds to transfer the caramel over before it begins to get hard. Once it's in your baking dish you swirl it around all sides of the baking dish

When you are planning to sure your delicious dessert remember you have two way to ensure that it comes out the mold perfectly. The first tip is to leave the flan out for at least 45 mixture or until it gets to room temp and then flip it out of it's mold.
